Box Truck Driver

NY Metro Local Delivery | Congers, NY

• Pay: $21 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM start
• Type: Full Time Hourly, overtime eligible
• Location: Congers, NY Distribution Center, with routes across the NY metro area, including the five boroughs
• Reports To: Operations Manager

Contractors, utilities, and municipalities across New York count on PowerPak to get site and safety supplies to the jobsite on time. As our Box Truck Driver, you make that happen. You’ll run a 26-foot box truck on early-morning, multi-stop routes across the metro area, and you’ll be the face of PowerPak when the order shows up.

This is a hands-on job. You’ll drive in tight city traffic, unload at every stop, and work through jobsite access problems, weather, and last-minute route changes. In return, you get a steady Monday through Friday schedule and a team that has your back.

• Drive daily multi-stop delivery routes across the NY metro area, starting at 6:00 AM (about 45% of your day)
• Deliver to jobsites and businesses, unload by liftgate, pallet jack, or hand, and capture proof of delivery at every stop
• Run pre-trip and post-trip inspections, check your load against the route manifest, and secure cargo safely
• Keep dispatch, customer service, and leadership updated in real time on ETAs, delays, refusals, and damages
• Handle rush and same-day deliveries when they come up
• Bring back undeliverables, returns, and paperwork, and close out your route at the end of the shift
• Help on the dock with staging and loading when you’re not on the road

• 98% or better on-time, in-full delivery on your routes
• Proof of delivery captured at every stop, every time
• Zero preventable vehicle incidents

• A valid driver’s license and a driving record (MVR) that meets our safety and insurance standards
• Experience driving a 26-foot box truck or similar commercial delivery vehicle in city traffic
• A current DOT medical card
• Comfort navigating NY metro routes, including the boroughs and tight jobsite access
• Ability to work Monday through Friday with a 6:00 AM start, consistently
• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• CDL Class B
• 2 or more years of local delivery experience
• Experience with WorkWave, Descartes, Samsara, or similar route and telematics apps
• Experience delivering to construction jobsites

• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, and occasionally up to 75 lbs with a team lift
• Loading and unloading at multiple stops a day, including bending, reaching, and climbing in and out of the truck
• Switching between driving and standing, walking, and hand-unloading at each stop
• Working outdoors at jobsites in all kinds of weather
